Missions
At FBC we believe firmly that we have been commanded to proclaim the gospel as ACTS 1:8 commands. In Acts 1:8 Jesus commands the disciples to proclaim the gospel in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth. For us that means that we actively seek to proclaim the gospel in Charlestown, Indiana, North America, and the ends of the earth. Below you will find what this looks like for FBC. For more information about each of these missions areas call our office (812) 256-3421 or email us at office@fbctown.com
Serving in Charlestown
Community Outreach Events – Throughout the year we will have outreach events that focus on carrying the gospel of Christ into our community. These events include community gospel blitzes, working the concession stand for the Charlestown Little League Opening Day, and many others.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL– Every year, FBC holds Vacation Bible School for kids in our community to come hear about the love of Jesus!
HOPE CENTER – Every Monday and Thursday from 1pm-3pm, our church doors are open to show the love and hope of Christ through our food ministry known as, The Hope Center. Each week we serve dozens of families through giving out food and other household items. This ministry reaches out to our neigbhors in Charlestown. Please come visit us any Monday or Thursday.
FALL FESTIVAL– On the last Sunday of October, FBC holds its largest outreach event as we provide a safe and fun environment for our community. We have popcorn, hot chocolate, hot dogs, games, and lots of decorated trunks with lots of candy.
Serving in Indiana
We seek to partner with other churches in our state so that we can have a greater impact for the Kingdom of God.
A church planting partnership we have is in Richmond, Indiana. We have partnered with The Legacy Church Plant of Richmond. For more information on our partnership with The Legacy Church Plant of Richmond, please see Pastor Jimmy Walls or Amy Farmer.
In Indiana we partner with…

Serving North America and the Ends of the Earth
Currently FBC is prayerfully considering a partnership with the Southern Wisconsin Baptist Association. When this partnership is formalized, FBC will be assisting with multiple church plants in the Madison, WI area.
On July 26 – August 3, 2019 a team will be traveling to Ecuador. While there they will help the Ecuadorian missions staff host a camp for youth from “El Oriente,” the jungle region of the country. Approximately 150 – 200 youth are expected to attended this camp. For more information contact Pastor Cris O’Brien.
